Week 2: Lights,Camera, Adventure! 

Step into the magic of the silver screen (7/7-7/11)

Step into the magic of the silver screen with Cinema Week at Summer Haus! This week, campers will embark on an exciting journey through the world of movies. From directing their own mini films to reenacting famous scenes, every day will be filled with action, creativity, and fun! Campers will design their own Hollywood Walk of Fame stars, enjoy popcorn and movie nights under the stars, and learn about the art of storytelling through film!

Week 3: Grossology 101

Slime, Grime, and a Gooey Good Time

(7/14-7/18)

Dive into the squishy heart of summer with Grossology 101, where science gets slimy, sticky, and delightfully disgusting! This week, campers will explore the fascinating world of all things icky and weird, celebrating the messy and marvelous side of learning. From bubbling slime experiments and edible "mud pies" to uncovering the secrets of sneezes, burps, and bugs,  Campers will dig deep (literally) with scavenger hunts in “wormy” dirt, create their own oozy concoctions, and explore the science behind some of nature’s grossest creations.

WEEK 4: OH SNAP! It's a Throwback

Retro Vibes, Timeless Fun

(7/21-7/25)

​Travel back in time and experience the music, games, culture from past decades! Featuring our very own sock hop & disco, make tie-dye shirts, Pet Rocks, Beaded Necklaces, Twister Tourney; ’80s Friendship Pins. Put your dance skills to the test, make ‘80s friendship pins, and laugh your way through an epic Twister Tourney. But that’s not all—campers will star in their very own retro-themed music video, bringing the sounds of the decades to life.

Week 5: Survivor Week

Unleash Your Inner Warrior!

This week is 3-day test of endurance, will power, physical and mental strength. Our students will compete for the ultimate glory, split into different colored teams as they battle against each other to be crowned the ultimate Summer Series Survivor. Games cosists of warrior obstacles, trail hunts, color wars, & team jousting!

Week 6: Summer Olympics

Victory Awaits

(8/4-8/8)

Get excited for the 2025 Youth Summer Olympics! Learning true Olympic values and discovering the history of the world’s biggest sporting event. Students will create their own team flags, make their own medals & have an Opening Ceremony celebration. Compete in events like Potato sac races, Egg Toss, Long Jump, Relays, & tug-of-war!

Week 7:  Spirit Week:

The Grand Finale!

Celebrate the unforgettable moments of Summer Haus with Spirit Week, our ultimate farewell to an amazing camp season! This week is all about showcasing your camp pride, making final memories, and having a blast with your camp family. Each day will feature exciting themes like Crazy Hat Day, Twin Day, and Camp Colors Day, where everyone can dress up and show their creative side and share heartfelt goodbyes during our Farewell Ceremony.

Registration and Refunds:

Registration and payment for Youth Summer Series must be completed and submitted to our front desk. Registration form can be filled out and emailed to Hausyouthseries@gmail.com   OR dropped off to our HQ at Haus of Athletes: 476 Lowell Street, Methuen Ma 01844 | Full payment is required at the time of registration to reserve the child’s space. Participants may sign up for any or all the weekly Series. There will be no proration of fees for any days a child participant cannot attend. Registration deadline for each week is Friday at midnight prior to week you'd like to book.

Cost:

Part-Time (2-Days, No field trip): $159.99 + $30 (one time enrollment fee)
Part-Time (3-Days, Includes field trip): $224.99 + $30 (one time enrollment fee)
Full-Time (5-Days): $349.99 +$30 (one time enrollment fee)

Full Summer: $2200.00

*Program tuition includes fieldtrip tickets, transportation fees, Series field trip shirt,  Tech Workshops, and series activities.

   

Age Guidelines:

The Youth Summer Series proudly welcomes children aged 5 to 13 years, adhering strictly to this age specification to ensure a tailored and age-appropriate experience for all participants. Upon registration, children will be thoughtfully placed into distinct groups based on their age range, facilitating an environment that promotes optimal learning, social interaction, and personal development. Our carefully structured groupings include: the "Minis" for ages 5-6, offering a nurturing introduction to camp activities; the "Explorers" for ages 7-8, designed to ignite curiosity and adventure; the "Juniors" for ages 9-10, focusing on fostering independence and teamwork; and the "Seniors" for ages 11-13, aimed at challenging and expanding their skills and interests. This deliberate organization ensures that each child receives the most enriching and enjoyable summer camp experience possible.

 

Hours of Operation:

Youth Summer Series hours are Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.

​

*Pick-ups after 4:30 PM will incur an additional fee of $25.

​

Dates for the Series are June 30th - August 15th.

​

Pick-up & Drop-Off Procedures:

Kids should arrive for 9am sharp.  There will be no child allowed into camp prior to 9am unless they are paid for extended care. All kids must be picked up no later than 4pm. Parent/guardian must park their vehicle and accompany their child into the Series and sign the child in at the Youth Series welcome desk.

 

Medical Needs/Allergies:

We are not permitted to administer medication to program participants. In the event of a medical emergency, our staff will administer first aid, CPR, and rescue in the best interest of the child. Parents will be contacted if care is administered. Allergy medications may be administered if we have an action plan on file from the child’s doctor.

 

Special Circumstances:

Parents and guardians are required to inform us in writing of any special circumferences which may affect the child’s ability to participate fully and within the guidelines of acceptable behavior, including, but not limited to, any serious behavioral problems or special circumstances regarding psychological, medical, or physical conditions. Once the notice is submitted, a conference will be scheduled with the parent/guardian to discuss the special circumstances and whether the Center can accommodate the circumstances.

​

Dress Code:

Kids should dress appropriately for the activities scheduled. We recommend shorts and a lightweight shirt or top, and some type of athletic shoe or sneaker to participate in recreational or athletic activities. Sandals, flip-flops, rubber “crocs”-style shoes, and other open-toed shoes are not recommended for active recreation activities. Clothing that displays drugs, alcohol, tobacco, offensive language, excessive bagginess, or is excessively revealing will not be permitted. Kids can also bring bathing suits and towels for days we engage in water activities outdoors.

 

Sunscreen/Insect Repellent:

Please apply sunscreen and insect repellent prior to the start of each Series session. Kids may bring sunscreen and insect repellent but must be able to reapply with staff supervision. Spray or mist sunscreen and/or insect repellent are recommended. Sunscreen and/or insect repellent must be labeled with child’s name. Kids may not share these items with others.

 

Behavior Management/

Discipline Policy:

Youth summer Series will create a fun and safe environment for participants in the program. Praise and positive reinforcement are used as effective methods of behavior management. Kids who do not respond to these methods or who are destructive to others or to property will be dealt with in a professional, positive, and timely manner to correct the behavior. The following procedures will be followed for behavior management. All incident reports will be discussed privately with parents/guardians and a copy of each report will be kept on file at our training facility.

  1. In the event a child’s behavior is a repeated behavior and cannot be corrected by our staff with a verbal warning or other form of behavior modification, a first incident report will be written to document and correct behavior. A copy of the report will be given to the parent/guardian the same day as the incident.

  2. A second incident report will be written if the behavior is repeated by or new behavior problems occur with the same child. This report will follow the same process as the first, but a one or two- day suspension could accompany this report, and no refund will be provided for suspended days. A copy of the report will be given to the parent/guardian the same day as the second incident.

  3. A third incident report will be completed using the same process as the first two. Our staff will write this report. Staff will provide this report to the parent/guardian. Incident reports will be discussed privately with a parent/guardian by a youth staff Director. Dismissal from a program can occur at this time.

 

NOTE: Immediate dismissal from the program can occur at any time given severe circumstances. Refunds for missed days due to a discipline dismissal will not be granted.

​

Nutrition/Snacks:

We kindly request that children bring their daily lunch/snack and a beverage in a non-glass container. For safety and environmental considerations, we recommend packing snacks in paper, plastic, or reusable bags, clearly marked with the child's name. To ensure the well-being of all campers and maintain cleanliness, beverages should be clear or light-colored. We ask parents to refrain from including gum or candy in their child's lunch. Additionally, a concession stand may be available during program hours, offering a selection of snacks and beverages for purchase. Please note that we will also host special Pizza Days periodically throughout the session.

Inclement Weather:

In the event of severe weather conditions, we are pleased to inform you that we have secured access to indoor facilities to ensure the continuation of our scheduled programs. Our priority is to maintain the integrity of the camp experience, ensuring that each child enjoys a remarkable day, irrespective of weather disruptions.

Youth Summer Series Refund Policy

  • Refund Deadline: Parents are eligible for a partial refund (50%) if they decide to cancel their child's registration by May 1st, 2024. 

  • Medical Emergency Refunds: In the case of a medical emergency, parents will receive a prorated refund for the remaining days of the camp their child can no longer attend.

  • No-Refunds for Early Departures: There is no refunds offered for early departures that are not due to medical emergencies - this helps instill a sense of commitment and responsibility in our students. 

  • Part-time campers are unable to switch days if they miss their scheduled day.

  • Refund Processing Time: All approved refunds will be processed within 48 Hours of submission.

Chaperone Policy for Group Field Trips

At Summer Haus, we are committed to creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for all our campers. Our group field trips are designed to enhance the camp experience by providing educational and fun outings that align with our camp's themes and values. Parents who wish to volunteer as chaperones play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and success of these trips. To ensure the well-being of our campers and the effectiveness of our field trips, we have established a policy for parent chaperones which can be uploaded in the document section on this page.
